Used Dryer Sheets

Used Dryer Sheets I use used dryer sheets to back quilt labels. I put the quilt label, right side down on top of a used dryer sheet. Then I sew around the quilt label. I cut a small opening in the middle of the dryer sheet and turn the label right side out. This keeps the edges in and makes a neat label, ready to sew onto the quilt. I also use the used dryer sheets as stabilizer for some machine embroidery projects. (Peggy Baker) *********************************************************** Keep an empty pop-up tissue on the clothes dryer to collect dryer as they come out of the dryer. Use them for dusting - when used especially for TV screens they do a great job in cutting down static electricity that attracts dust. (Angie) *********************************************************** I use my dryer sheets to put on the back of all my appliqué work. Just sew to the appliqué piece, cut a slot in the back, and turn the piece. I find it doesn't gum up my sewing machine needle when sewing and isn't stiff like the iron on backings. (Nona , W.V.) *********************************************************** I use my used dryer sheets as backing for paper piecing instead of paper. No need to take it out later and it gives a nice smell to the finsihed item. (Ruthie) *********************************************************** I sew 2 together and use them on my Swiffer to dust my wood floors. Works great for dust bunnies :) (Jody Jones) *********************************************************** You can use them to clean the bottom of your iron.
